FAQs

How do I know when my battery is charging and if it’s charging at the right times?

Our battery software optimises when to charge during the day after learning about your energy patterns and we work to ensure it runs smoothly in the background so you can focus on your business.

What if the wifi goes down?

We understand that sometimes your wifi provider will have an outage.  Usually, the connection resolves itself as we attempt to reconnect several times on our side.  If we are unable to reconnect, we will reach out to make sure the batteries are connected and performing as intended.  If we have consistent wifi issues, this could impact your savings and we would want to work with you to address this.

What if my battery shuts off? Who is responsible for troubleshooting?

The David Energy team is responsible for monitoring and optimizing your batteries. If, for some reason the batteries are not performing as intended, we’ll work with you to make it right.

What happens if I don’t want the installed battery anymore?

We simply unplug the battery and remove it from your site free of charge.

What is the expected life of the batteries? Do they get recycled?

The plug-in batteries have an expected life of 16+ years and we use them throughout this timeline. We recycle the batteries afterwards.

How sustainable are the batteries in terms of materials?

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) does not contain rare earth metals which are more likely to come from conflict regions. LFP batteries are composed of abundant, non-rare materials including iron, phosphorus, lithium, aluminum, and graphite.
